Trees are an essential part of our planet's ecosystem. They provide oxygen and clean air and play a crucial role in mitigating climate change. Despite their importance, deforestation and other factors have led to a rapid decline in the number of trees on our planet. In recent years, tree-planting collaborations have emerged to restore forests and bring back the benefits trees provide. Last February 24th, we collaborated with the Holy Cross of Davao College as we planted 100 Pine Trees at Barangay Baganihan in Marilog District, Davao City. Last May 6th, another 300 trees (Narra and Coffee) were planted at Sitio Pulong Banal in Antipolo, Rizal, in collaboration with the National Teachers College.
One of the main benefits of tree-planting collaborations is the restoration of biodiversity. Planting trees can bring back various animals that rely on them for habitat and food. As trees grow, they provide homes for birds, insects, and other wildlife, creating a more diverse and thriving ecosystem. Additionally, the roots of mature trees provide soil stability and prevent soil erosion, which can become a significant problem in areas that experience heavy rainfall or flooding.
As we reflect on our successful collaboration with our industry partners, it's clear that our partnership has been a key factor in helping us achieve our goal of giving back to the community through these tree-growing activities.
While it's important to recognize the hard work and dedication we've put in with our industry partners, we must also acknowledge that we couldn't have achieved all of this without the support of our team. Our VXI family has been instrumental in supporting us in building and growing our business, and we're grateful for their contributions to the betterment of the environment.
